Operatives from the city police’s tactical motorcycle riding unit flagged down a Honda AVD motorcycle for not wearing proper safety helmets.
One suspect attempted to flee, prompting officers to conduct a body frisk that led to the confiscation of approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P680,000.
Police also seized one caliber 9mm Taurus firearm with serial number EA6519350, one magazine, and fifteen live ammunition rounds.
The suspects, both 24 years old, unemployed, and residents of Navotas City and Malabon City, are now undergoing inquest proceedings. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 26, Article II of RA 9165, and RA 10591 are being prepared against them.
