Epson Philippines Corporation has introduced a compact, on-demand color label printer aimed at helping small and growing businesses manage fast-changing product lines and branding needs.

In a statement issued 13 February 2026, the company unveiled the Epson ColorWorks C4050, designed to allow business owners to print labels as needed instead of relying on bulk, pre-printed stocks.

Epson said small enterprises often struggle with minimum order quantities, storage constraints and outdated label inventory, particularly when product offerings and pricing change frequently.

The ColorWorks C4050 enables on-demand printing of full-color labels for items such as food, cosmetics and healthcare products. The printer produces barcodes, graphics and text designed to remain clear even after exposure to moisture, refrigeration or handling, using UltraChrome DL pigment inks.

According to Epson, the printer is compact enough for small workspaces and features a 2.7-inch color LCD screen for ink monitoring and job control. An optional WiFi function allows printing from multiple devices.

The device supports various label types, including glossy, matte, synthetic and continuous formats, making it adaptable to different packaging requirements.

“Small businesses operate in environments where change is constant,” said Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC). “With the ColorWorks C4050, we’re giving them the power to adjust quickly, look professional, and stay in control of their production — no matter where they are in their growth journey.”

Epson said the printer also aligns with its sustainability goals by helping businesses reduce waste through printing only what is needed.

The company positions the ColorWorks C4050 as a solution for cafés, online sellers, boutique brands and small manufacturers seeking greater flexibility in label production without outsourcing large print runs.
