The Southern Police District (SPD) intercepted a significant shipment of illegal drugs following a surgical buy-bust operation in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, on Tuesday night, February 10.
Arrested in the operation was a 28-year-old high-value individual known by the alias Caz, along with two associates: a 36-year-old identified as Nick and a 31-year-old identified as Sahid.
The operation yielded a total of approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P680,000.
During the search of the primary suspect, alias Caz, operatives recovered approximately 50 grams of the illegal substance, along with a white envelope containing a P1,000 genuine bill used as buy-bust money, 49 pieces of P1,000 boodle money, and a blue Realme cellular phone used in the transaction.
Subsequent searches of the other suspects resulted in the recovery of approximately 25 grams of suspected shabu from alias Nick and another 25 grams of the same substance from alias Sahid.
The suspects are currently being processed at the District's drug enforcement unit for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
