P278M shabu from Afghanistan seized
Philippine National Police Chief Jose Nartatez Jr., Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, and top officials from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency inspect 131 pieces of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, wrapped in plastic that was seized during a joint anti-drug operation, at Manila International Container Port (MICP) in Manila on Tuesday, 10 February 2026. The intercepted shabu came from Afghanistan, weighing approximately 41 kilograms and had an estimated street value of ₱278 million. The illegal drugs were concealed inside a shipping container loaded with marble tiles.
