Prince William and Princess Catherine "Kate" Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, recently made an unannounced appearance at a luxurious restaurant in the French Alps. The couple reportedly enjoyed a getaway at the exclusive Courchevel ski resort in the Tarentaise Valley, a destination known for its Michelin-starred restaurants and celebrity visitors.
Courchevel, often called the "Saint Tropez of the slopes" and the "ski capital of the world," has previously hosted stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Elton John, and the Beckhams. Last month, William and Kate were seen at a mountainside restaurant, drawing attention from fellow diners who snapped photos as the couple departed.
According to a staff member, the future king and his wife were polite and enjoyed their meal. They reportedly wore ski attire described as immaculate, including beanie hats that delighted onlookers.
This is not the first time the Waleses have visited the French Alps. Their first reported trip was in 2016, accompanied by their eldest children. Last year, the family, which includes Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, also went skiing. The couple and their children are avid skiers and often spend holidays and school breaks in the mountains, sometimes accompanied by Catherine’s relatives.
Royal commentators have noted that the family balances public duty with private time. Prince George, who turns 13 on 22 July, is entering secondary school, marking a significant year for the family. Catherine, recognized for her expertise in early years development, reportedly focuses on ensuring their children enjoy childhood experiences without pressure from royal expectations.
