‘Young Sherlock’: A bold, action-packed take on the iconic detective

Prime Video has revealed the first official trailer and key art for Young Sherlock, the highly anticipated series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) as a youthful, rebellious Sherlock Holmes.

Directed and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, the show promises a fast-paced, irreverent reimagining of the world’s most famous detective.

All eight episodes will premiere exclusively on 4 March across more than 240 countries.

Set against the richly detailed backdrop of Victorian England, Young Sherlock follows the detective in his formative years. When the young Holmes encounters the enigmatic James Moriarty, he is pulled into a murder investigation that threatens not only his freedom but also his destiny. The series traces his first case, a globe-spanning conspiracy that culminates in a dramatic confrontation, revealing the anarchic brilliance that will eventually make him a legend.

Joining Fiennes Tiffin are Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor), and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), rounding out a star-studded cast.

Guy Ritchie directs the opening two episodes, setting the tone for a series created for television and executive produced by showrunner Matthew Parkhill, alongside Dhana Rivera Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson. Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson serve as co-executive producers, while Motive Pictures spearheaded physical production.

With its blend of clever mystery, high-octane action, and the mischief of a teenage Sherlock, Young Sherlock looks poised to give viewers a fresh, exhilarating spin on a classic character.
