ACMobility has entered a partnership with Robinsons Malls to expand electric vehicle charging access across key locations in the country, as more drivers begin to consider electric vehicles for daily use.
The partnership places new charging stations inside Robinsons Malls properties in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The goal is to widen access to charging points outside Metro Manila and support longer travel between cities and provinces.
Under the initial rollout, 10 charging hubs are scheduled to be fully operational within the first quarter of 2026. Each hub will carry two 22kW charging points, except for Robinsons Butuan, which will use two 7kW units.
Five locations are already operating. These are found in Robinsons malls in Ilocos Norte, Iloilo, Roxas, Dumaguete and Pagadian. These sites cover all three major island groups.
In Luzon and the Visayas, charging hubs will open at Robinsons Tuguegarao, Santiago, La Union and Antique. In Mindanao, additional sites will be built in Robinsons Iligan, Butuan and Valencia. The Iligan location will extend ACMobility’s network further north in Mindanao once it opens.
ACMobility said placing chargers in malls allows drivers to charge while attending to routine errands. Mall locations also offer longer operating hours and consistent foot traffic, which suits daily charging needs.
Carla Buencamino, head of mobility infrastructure at ACMobility, said the partnership helps the company grow its network in areas where charging options remain limited. She said this supports drivers who travel between cities and provinces, not only those who drive within urban centers.
The new sites will form part of ACMobility’s Philippine EV Spine Network, which now stretches from Pagudpud in northern Luzon to Pagadian in Mindanao. The company has focused on placing chargers along major routes and destination areas to support longer trips.
All charging stations under the network can be located through the Evro mobile application. The app allows users to find stations, check availability, navigate to locations, and pay within the platform.
Robinsons Malls said the partnership aligns with its efforts to add services that support changing transport needs in the communities it serves. With more than 50 malls nationwide, the group offers wide geographic reach for public-facing infrastructure.
ACMobility said additional charging sites are already in the pipeline as demand grows. The company expects more provincial locations to follow as electric vehicle ownership increases outside major cities.
