SM J Mall hosts Cebu’s first-ever Matcha Fest

SM J Mall has launched Cebu’s first-ever Matcha Fest, bringing a two-week celebration of Japanese green tea culture to the city as part of its expanding lifestyle and food offerings.

Running from 1 to 15 February 2026, the festival has transformed the mall’s Atrium into a green-themed space featuring matcha drinks, desserts, workshops and interactive activities aimed at Cebu’s growing community of matcha enthusiasts.

The opening day drew members of the media, content creators and mallgoers, who sampled freshly whisked matcha beverages, specialty desserts and artisanal products while exploring pop-up stalls showcasing different interpretations of the popular green tea.

Participating brands include Atelier Matcha, Your Daily Go Cafe, Kasa Brew, Celso’s Crib, No Bitter Feelings, Tsoko, DP Sweets, Oh Nata!, Ice Ice Baby and Rampa Beads Bar, offering a range of matcha-based items from classic lattes to sweets and confections.

Organizers said Cebu Matcha Fest is designed as a lifestyle experience rather than a traditional pop-up. Scheduled activities include Matcha Painting sessions, Make Your Own Matcha workshops on 7 and 11 February, and a Valentine’s Day event, Love Beats with Moni-Moni, on 14 February.

Visitors can also relax at the Matcha Lounge & Games area, which features board and tabletop games such as chess, dominoes, tumbling tower, Snakes and Ladders and Uno.
