Trains still have the upperhand when it comes to beating rush hour.
Deputy Representative Minister Michael Lee of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO) experienced it firsthand after his trip from Araneta-Cubao Station to Ayala Station just took 20 minutes.
Since it was Lee’s first time, he mentioned the cleanliness of the cars, how passengers alight and aboard, train’s speed and the posted travel times during the ride.
Lee said that this experience is something he would “absolutely” repeat.
For Araneta-Cubao Station on the other hand, he took notice of the station’s design and infrastructure and the seamless entry through a beep card.
According to the Facebook page Taiwan in the Philippines, Lee opted to ride the MRT-3 after attending the private screening of Hope for the Dawn to Come, a Philippine-made documentary on Ukraine, which is centered on how ordinary Ukrainians deal with constant threats of attack as their war with Russia is approaching its fourth year next month.
