Rosé says ‘I am looking for love’

BLACKPINK star Rosé recently gave one of her most open interviews yet, revealing why she keeps her romantic life private and how being in the public eye affects her personally.

On Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the Grammy-nominated singer shared that her decision not to publicly announce relationships is rooted in a desire to protect the people close to her from backlash and scrutiny.

Rosé explained that while she understands fame is part of her career, seeing friends or partners attacked online is painful and unfair.

The Call Her Daddy conversation became emotional when she was asked if she is currently seeing someone.

Rosé admitted, “I am looking for love,” but also shared how difficult it is to answer dating questions because anything she says can be overanalyzed or turned into headlines. She said this makes her cautious about how her words could define her.

In the interview, Rosé also recounted the extraordinary steps she once took to keep a past romance hidden, including dressing up as an elderly woman with wigs and outfits so she could visit her partner without being recognized by fans or paparazzi.

She said she maintained the disguise for around six months, highlighting the lengths she has gone to in order to keep a relationship private.

Beyond dating, the podcast also saw Rosé discussing independence, self-identity, and the heavy pressure K-pop idols face when personal details leak or are speculated about online. She said this reality contributes to her cautious approach to discussing her personal life.

Fans and media have reacted strongly to Rosé’s candid remarks, with some praising her vulnerability and others dissecting the details of what she shared.

Her comments offer a rare look into the emotional toll of fame and the importance she places on protecting the people she loves.
