Mobile-first microdramas roll out on BingoPlus

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has partnered with GMA Network to produce a slate of short-form “microdrama” series designed specifically for mobile viewing, marking a push into vertical, bite-sized narrative content for Filipino audiences.

Under the partnership, DigiPlus will stream exclusive short-form dramas on its BingoPlus platform, which the company is positioning as a broader digital entertainment hub beyond gaming. The microdramas are optimized for smartphone viewing, reflecting shifts in how Filipinos consume content on mobile devices.

The initial lineup features three vertical drama titles—A Masked Billionaire Stole My Heart, Babae Sa Bintana, and Toyang To Forget—each composed of 40 micro-episodes running one to two minutes per episode. The series are produced by GMA Network and topbilled by GMA Sparkle talents Andrea Torres, Empoy Marquez, Herlene “Hipon” Budol, Michael Sager, Will Ashley, and Ysabel Ortega.

DigiPlus said the short-form format is intended for on-the-go viewing, with fast-paced storytelling tailored for portrait screens commonly used on smartphones.

BingoPlus President Jasper Vicencio said the collaboration signals a shift in how digital entertainment platforms engage users.

“Our ongoing partnership with GMA Network is a true game-changer for digital entertainment in the Philippines and a significant milestone for DigiPlus and BingoPlus,” Vicencio said.

“By delivering high-quality, bite-sized narratives, we are not just expanding our platform—we are meeting our users exactly where they are: on their mobile devices, demanding premium, easily digestible content. This initiative solidifies our commitment to multiplying the fun and setting a new standard for mobile entertainment that is accessible to every Filipino with a smartphone,” he added.

GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon Valdes said the partnership allows the network to expand the reach of its storytelling to mobile-first audiences.

“GMA Network is thrilled to be in this continuous partnership with a digital leader like DigiPlus to bring our narrative content to a broader, mobile-first audience. The vertical drama format allows our Sparkle talents and compelling storytelling to shine in a way that perfectly captures the attention of today’s viewers. This venture highlights our commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional, platform-optimized entertainment across the dynamic digital landscape,” she said.

The companies said the microdrama initiative reflects a broader effort to adapt content production to changing viewing habits, with mobile platforms increasingly becoming a primary destination for entertainment.
