Juan World Philippines gathered over 1,000 travel agents nationwide for its annual thanksgiving event, “Juan Day 2026,” held on 20 January at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City, marking nearly a decade of partnership with Philippine travel agencies.
The business-to-business tour services provider recognized its Top 50 performing agents for 2025, who received all-expenses-paid trips to South Korea, underscoring its continued growth and close ties with its expanding network of more than 1,000 partner agencies.
Among the awardees was Soledad “Bheng” Gagui, owner of KJS International Travel & Tours and president of the Bulacan Association of Travel Agencies, who was named one of Juan World’s Top Performing Agents. Gagui, aunt of DAILY TRIBUNE associate online editor, shared that the recognition affirmed years of work behind the scenes.
“Winning as one of the Top Performing Agents validated all the hard work behind the scenes,” Gagui told DAILY TRIBUNE. “It gave me renewed confidence and purpose to keep pushing forward.”
She said overcoming self-doubt was her biggest challenge last year, crediting faith, discipline, and family — particularly her daughters — as her source of strength and motivation.
Juan World Philippines general manager Jake Acasio Mendoza said the strong turnout reflected the company’s enduring relationship with the travel agent community.
“We are deeply grateful to the agents who continue to stand with us,” Mendoza said. “As we approach our 10th anniversary next year, our commitment remains the same — to grow together and move the industry forward.”
The gathering also highlighted the role of travel agents as key partners in advancing the Department of Tourism’s push for a resilient and competitive tourism sector through public-private collaboration.
Juan World capped the celebration with a raffle featuring premium travel prizes, including an all-expenses-paid Antarctic expedition as the grand prize, reinforcing the event’s spirit of recognition, unity, and shared growth.
