Makati City has extended the deadlines for the assessment and payment of business permits, licenses, and real property taxes to give taxpayers and business owners additional time to comply with city requirements.
Mayor Nancy Binay said the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved City Ordinance No. 2026-002, extending the deadline for the assessment of business permits without penalty from 20 January to 26 January 2026.
“We recognize that many of our business owners and property taxpayers are still completing their requirements. This extension gives them reasonable time to comply without penalties, while allowing the city to continue delivering programs and services that benefit all Makati residents,” Binay said.
The deadline for the payment of business licenses without penalty has likewise been moved to 2 February 2026, with payments accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In addition, Makati taxpayers may still avail themselves of the 10% discount on real property tax (RPT) payments until 2 February 2026, during the same payment hours.
Binay said the extension reflects the city government’s effort to remain responsive to its constituents while ensuring the continued delivery of public services.
She added that all other rules, regulations, and penalties under existing laws and ordinances remain in effect.
