Hotel101 Global CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini took part in a high-level discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, highlighting the Philippine hospitality group’s push to scale globally through standardized, sustainability-driven hotel development.

On 20 January 2026, Yulo-Luccini joined Horizon Group Chairman Khaled Sharbatly on a panel titled “From Partnerships to Hypergrowth: The New Era of Sustainable Hospitality,” moderated by Andrew J. Gan at the inaugural InvestPhilippines Business Pavilion.

The session underscored how Filipino-led hospitality platforms are positioning themselves for cross-border expansion through partnerships, design efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

“At Hotel101 Global, we build 500-room hotels at scale with smart, green design built in from day one: efficient energy, less waste, stronger communities,” Yulo-Luccini said. “This matters because it proves you can grow fast and do good at the same time—and make a bigger global impact.”

Hotel101 Global operates on a standardized “one-room, one-price” model designed to streamline construction, lower operating costs, and make hotels easier to replicate across markets. The company has been rolling out large-format properties across the Philippines and abroad, supported by partnerships with international developers and investors. Its model emphasizes prefabrication, efficient land use, and centralized operations to enable faster deployment and predictable returns.

Sustainability is embedded into the group’s expansion strategy, with hotel designs incorporating energy-efficient systems, waste-reduction measures, and community-oriented employment and sourcing practices. These initiatives align with the company’s broader goal of building long-term hospitality assets rather than short-cycle developments.

The Philippines’ participation at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos underscores the government’s push to position the country as a credible destination for foreign investment, trade partnerships, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Through platforms such as the InvestPhilippines Business Pavilion, Philippine companies and policymakers are using the global forum to engage investors, promote priority sectors—including tourism, renewable energy, and digital services—and strengthen economic diplomacy. Officials have said the country’s presence at Davos is intended to translate high-level dialogues into concrete investments, job creation, and long-term growth, while reinforcing confidence in the Philippines’ reform agenda and macroeconomic stability.

Yulo-Luccini said participation at Davos provided a platform to demonstrate that sustainability and profitability are not mutually exclusive in hospitality development.

“Davos lets us show the world: sustainability isn’t a cost—it’s how we build hotels that last and win,” she said. “These talks shape the future of travel.”

Hotel101’s presence at the World Economic Forum reflects growing international interest in scalable, emerging-market hospitality platforms, as well as the Philippines’ expanding role in global investment conversations around tourism, infrastructure, and sustainable growth.
