MediaTek has unveiled two new mobile chipsets — the Dimensity 9500s and Dimensity 8500 — aimed at boosting performance, gaming, AI, and power efficiency in flagship and premium smartphones.
The company said the new processors are designed to bring advanced features to a wider range of devices, reinforcing MediaTek’s push in the high-end smartphone market.
“As leaders in smartphone global share, we are committed to increasing our investment in advanced technologies and striving to make bleeding-edge products available to more people,” said JC Hsu, corporate senior vice president and general manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit. “This mission is evident in this pair of Dimensity chipsets, which are intended to provide more flagship and premium smartphone experiences while upholding our vision in bringing the best possible performance and power efficiency to more people.”
The Dimensity 9500s is built on a 3nm process and features an all–big core CPU design, combining high performance with improved energy efficiency. It integrates the Immortalis-G925 GPU with advanced ray tracing support and is optimized for AI-powered photography, video, and content creation, including 8K Dolby Vision HDR recording.
Meanwhile, the Dimensity 8500 targets premium devices with a 4nm process and an all–big core architecture designed for smoother gaming and multitasking. MediaTek said the chipset delivers improved graphics performance with lower power consumption, alongside AI features for imaging and mainstream mobile gaming.
MediaTek said both chipsets support advanced 5G connectivity, AI processing, and enhanced wireless performance, positioning them to drive the next wave of flagship and premium smartphones.
