The Department of Energy (DOE) reminded the public of the existing rules on senior citizen and persons with disability (PWD) discounts for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products.
According to the 2024 joint administrative order with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), senior citizens and PWDs are entitled to a five percent discount on LPG.
The discount applies to household LPG with a net content of not more than 11 kilograms, purchasable once every five months from accredited LPG dealers.
