Sandara Park admits avoiding dating scandals by never going on dates

Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park recently opened up about how she managed to steer clear of dating controversies, even though her past relationships were all with well-known figures.

The video, titled ‘Why on earth did 2NE1’s Sandara Park join the Kim Sook line?’, debuted on VIVO TV’s YouTube channel and showed the artist speaking openly and without filters.

During the episode, a viewer asked about her spotless record when it came to love scandals, asking, “You once said in an interview that you only dated celebrities but were never caught even once. What was your secret?”

Sandara did not hold back as she explained, “There is a secret. The secret to not getting caught is simply not meeting up. Because of that, none of my relationships really lasted. From the other person’s perspective, it probably felt very frustrating. I used to say, ‘If I go outside, I will get photographed.’ They probably thought, ‘How big of a star does she think she is?’ Even if they came to the dorm or stood outside my place, I would not go out. I did not even eat a single meal with them.”

Listening to her story, comedian Kim Sook shared her thoughts, commenting, “Back then, reporters were basically stationed at group dorms all the time. That explains why there were no photos at all. You did not meet anyone.”

Sandara playfully added, “I was basically in a cyber relationship.” Kim Sook then joked back, “I think she might have fallen victim to a romance scam.”

Kim Sook asked if she would feel freer about being seen with someone special nowadays. Sandara replied confidently, “Of course. If I am going to be photographed anyway, I would rather be photographed looking pretty. At this point in my career and at my age, things are different now.”
