Actress Sue Ramirez turned to social media with a heartfelt and urgent plea, asking the public to help her family as her mother prepares for a critical medical procedure.

Sue shared a deeply personal message on her Instagram Stories, revealing that her mother, Chit Dodd, is scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery later this week. With the operation fast approaching, the actress asked for blood donors who could help ensure the procedure goes smoothly.

“Kumakatok po ako sa inyong mga puso,” Sue wrote, opening her appeal with quiet humility. She admitted that what she was asking might feel overwhelming, but emphasized how vital the help would be for her mother’s survival.

According to Sue, her mother’s surgery is set for Wednesday, January 7, and the family is in urgent need of donors with blood types B+, B-, O+, and O-. She also shared important guidelines for those willing to help.

“She will have open-heart surgery on Wednesday, and we are in need of blood,” Sue wrote. “Blood types B+, B-, O+, and O- are eligible to donate, with no alcohol intake for at least 48 hours. Please, please message me if you are willing and able. Maraming maraming salamat.”

Alongside the appeal, Sue posted a black-and-white photo taken at the hospital, showing her smiling gently beside her mother—an image that quietly underscored both their closeness and the gravity of the moment.

For those unable to donate blood, the actress asked for something just as meaningful: prayers.

“Prayers for her healing and strength would be deeply appreciated,” she added. “Thank you so much.”

Sue’s message quickly resonated with fans and followers, many of whom expressed support, offered prayers, and shared her call for donors—turning a personal moment of vulnerability into a collective act of compassion and hope.
