War of the starlets
When Janus del Prado criticized the cake served at the wedding of Carla Abellana and Dr. Reginald Santos, a silent word war between the two followed.
“Cake! Ba’t mo kami iniwan! (Why did you leave us?) Huhuhu,” Del Prado wrote in a not-so-subtle swipe, making it appear as though the cake resembled a casket.
Composed and poised, Abellana responded: “Masarap naman at fully edible. Pati guests nag-enjoy. Para sa amin, maganda siya at ’yun ang importante (It’s delicious and fully edible. The guests enjoyed it. For us, it’s beautiful, and that’s what’s important).”
Soon after, Del Prado claimed that his social media post had been mass-reported, prompting him to delete it.
However, the actor did not let the issue slide and went on to post a lengthy rant against a newlywed personality whom he accused of orchestrating the mass reporting of his account.
“Maldita pala talaga ’tong si bagong kasal. Pina-mass report ang page ko; ngayon naka-hold ang monetization. To your new husband: ingat ka sa napili mo. Remember that she dragged all her exes’ names into the mud. Huwag na huwag kang magkakamali. Hay. ’Yun lang, napikon ka na? Overreact much? Best wishes. Sana tumagal kayo kahit six months lang (This newlywed is really rude. She had my page mass-reported, and now the monetization is on hold. To your new husband: be careful with whom you chose. Remember, she dragged all her exes’ names into the mud. Don’t ever make a mistake. That’s it — you got offended already? Overreact much? Best wishes. May you last even six months),” he wrote.
In conclusion, Del Prado shared his New Year’s resolution following the online rift with Abellana: “New Year’s resolution: huwag magbiro sa hindi mo ka-humor. Move on na ako sa life. Bahala na kayo diyan (Don’t joke with someone who doesn’t share your humor. I’ve moved on with my life. Do what you want).
Good night.”
