Sharing the same mission of bringing quality healthcare closer to communities, SM Foundation, Bankers Institute of the Philippines, and Columban College collaborated to hold a medical mission in Olongapo City.
More than 1,500 people with various health concerns went to the mission to consult doctors, get dental and eye checkup, received prescribed reading glasses, take blood tests, and receive medicines and vitamins, all for free.
SM Foundation brought its mobile clinic to provide patients free electrocardiograms and X-rays to the patients, enhancing the diagnostic capabilities available during the mission.
Aside from conducting medical missions with its social good partners, the foundation’s Health and Medical Programs also involves upgrading public health centers in its host communities and hold medical caravans across the country.
To date, SM Foundation has renovated more than 200 health and wellness centers and served over 1.3-million patients during its medical missions.
