Security Bank expands CSR, education, green finance

SECURITY Bank Foundation Inc. donated 901 classrooms to 153 public schools.
Security Bank said it expanded its community, education, and sustainability initiatives nationwide in 2025, supporting livelihoods, schools, and climate action as part of its commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth.
The bank reported assisting farmers and vulnerable groups through livelihood programs in Aklan and Pampanga, providing cacao seedlings, poultry starter kits, rescue equipment, and solar-powered streetlights in partnership with civil society groups. It also supported 980 families in Cebu through business mentoring and financial training, and aided 661 disaster-hit families in Cebu following an earthquake and typhoon "Tino."
Education remained a major focus through Security Bank Foundation, Inc., which donated 901 classrooms to 153 public schools under its "Build a School, Build a Nation" program. The foundation also supported school leaders and teachers through training programs, assisted more than 300 scholars in 2025, and provided free eye screenings and eyeglasses to 1,170 students.
On sustainability, Security Bank planted 940 native mangrove seedlings in La Union under Project MITHI as part of a 10,000-seedling target to strengthen coastal protection and climate resilience.

The bank also exceeded its sustainable finance target, disbursing P99.4 billion in green and social loans as of October. These investments supported clean water access for 500,000 households, expanded healthcare capacity with 544 beds, and created opportunities for over 400,000 people, mostly women.
