First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos met with local government leaders to kick off the early celebration of the holidays.
Mrs. Marcos accompanied President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to Foro de Intramuros, where mayors, councilors and village chiefs gathered for a luncheon.
“I’ve always believed that real change begins in our communities, and it was truly heartwarming to be among the people who live that truth every single day,” the First Lady wrote on social media.
“Merry Christmas to our hardworking barangay captains, councilors, mayors, governors,” she added.
She also greeted all the dedicated people who serve the public with “quiet courage and genuine care.”
“Thank you for the work you do, the sacrifices you make, and the heart you bring to public service,” she said.
“Your dedication makes a real difference in our lives,” she added.
