Two of Manila’s “hautest” fashion designers and industry colleagues have come together with an idea to share a pop-up magic happen. Ivarluski Aseron and Jo Ann Bitagcol opened a contemporary, authentic and simple pop-up space recently at the 2F Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.
It was a celebration of fashion as icons, editors, industry movers, shakers and insiders flocked as early as mall opening to grab a piece of their favorites. The A-Z of the local style and design landscape were in attendance. Each side of the space are racks and shelves, dedicated to Ivarluski’s selection of unisex separates and Bitagcol’s updated classics. It was like a huge closet full of contemporary design and exceptional craft.
Bitagcol presented her iconic boxy unisex tee that has become a wardrobe staple for every fashion in know. The designer also released oversized scarves, skirts, pants and tops that showcase the designers unique approach to print, pattern and color play. Lace dresses, designed and crafted as contemporary alternatives to formal dressing, feature the designer’s Terno Terno prints. Detachable terno sleeves with pleated details, which debuted at this year’s Ternocon.
Ivarluski’s tops, on the other hand, most of which were designed to suit both men and women, are easy to mix and match with a wide range of skirts. True to form, his color palette remains muted: grays, whites and trims of black.
Simple, fresh, perhaps something that somehow leaves an impression of something new. A shared space of contemporary design, Ivarluski and Bitagcol pushes the envelope in re-imagined and re-interpreted concept of the classics.
Ivarluski and Bitagcol’s Pop Up Collaboration will run from December 2025 to February 2026.
