A TWO-DAY sting operation has been launched by the Cordillera police and it yielded more than P7 million worth of illegal drugs and resulted in the arrest of three suspects.

BAGUIO CITY — Police in the Cordillera Administrative Region seized illegal drugs valued at approximately P7,380,940 and arrested three suspects during anti-drug operations from 11 to 12 December 2025, authorities reported.
The most significant seizure came in Benguet province, where a 30-year-old man, identified by police as a high-value individual (HVI), was arrested after a pursuit.
The incident began, according to the Benguet Police Provincial Office, when the suspect’s black vehicle bypassed a checkpoint being conducted by members of the Kibungan Municipal Police Station on the Bado Dangwa National Road.
Officers immediately pursued the vehicle, apprehending it at Sitio Sapdaan, Barangay Sagpat, Kibungan. Inside the vehicle, police found 61 tubular packs of suspected dried marijuana leaves. The confiscated marijuana weighed 61.25 kilograms and had an estimated value of P7,350,000.
Separate search warrant operations in other provinces led to the arrest of two men classified as street level individuals (SLIs).
In Mountain Province, a 30-year-old male was arrested in Barangay Bantay, Paracelis as operatives from Paracelis MPS, Besao MPS, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Mountain Province executed the warrant, seizing five packets of suspected shabu weighing 4.49 grams and valued at P30,532, along with various drug paraphernalia.
A third search warrant operation in Apayao led to the arrest of a 45-year-old man. The operation, involving the Kabugao MPS, the Apayao PPO, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, resulted in the confiscation of two packets of suspected shabu weighing 0.06 grams with an estimated value of P408.
The Cordillera Police said that the arrested suspects and all seized evidence have been handed over to the lead operating units for documentation and proper disposition. All three suspects face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
