The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) have partnered with ACMobility to establish three new electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs within Camp John Hay, supporting sustainable tourism in Baguio and expanding ACMobility’s nationwide charging network.

According to BCDA, Camp John Hay is a key development area under its stewardship in Baguio City. The new DC EV charging stations will be located at the Garden Wing, the Public Parking Area, and the Golf Club—strategic sites within the estate.

BCDA said the hubs are equipped with modern charging facilities designed to accommodate a wide range of EV requirements. With eight new charge points, including Baguio City’s only DC Fast Charger to date, travelers heading to the summer capital can recharge conveniently during the holiday rush.

The new chargers complement the existing EV charging station at the Camp John Hay Technohub, with additional AC and DC chargers scheduled for activation in the coming months.

The Garden Wing hub will feature a 60kW DC Fast Charger capable of powering vehicles in as fast as 30 minutes, along with two 22kW AC chargers. The Public Parking Area will have two 22kW chargers, while the Golf Club hub will include two 7kW chargers. All stations are integrated with the Evro app, allowing users to locate chargers, check availability, initiate charging, and pay seamlessly.

“This partnership marks a key milestone in Camp John Hay’s pursuit of sustainable and eco-friendly tourism,” said BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang.

“By introducing reliable and accessible EV infrastructure at a location as strategic as Camp John Hay, we are creating not only greener and more convenient travel experience for residents and tourists, but also supporting ACMobility’s mission to provide accessible and reliable EV Charging across the country,” he added.

BCDA noted that ACMobility is on track to deploy more charging points nationwide in 2026 as part of efforts to build the Philippine EV Spine—a seamless charging network connecting key cities and provinces to accelerate the country’s transition to electric mobility.

“This year, we are accelerating the rollout of our nationwide EV network to reach more cities and key locations across the Philippines,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility.

“By expanding our network and partnering with organizations like BCDA, we aim to provide reliable and accessible charging experiences that make it easier for Filipinos to adopt cleaner mobility solutions.”
