A former Amazon rebel voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Nueva Ecija on 9 December 2025.
According to the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, the surrenderer is a former member of the Underground Mass Organization under the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid.
NEPPO reported that joint operatives of the 1st PMFC, San Jose City Police Station, Lupao Police Station, Pantabangan Police Station, Rizal Police Station, Sto. Domingo Police Station, Licab Police Station, Guimba Police Station, Cuyapo Police Station, the 303rd RMFB3, and the 2nd PMFC NEPPO, as the lead unit of a special intelligence operation, facilitated the voluntary surrender of the female rebel.
The surrenderer was identified as “Ka Santa,” a 44-year-old farmer and resident of Barangay San Bernardo in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
She surrendered a caliber .38 revolver and underwent debriefing facilitated by the 2nd PMFC NEPPO.
