Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio on Sunday said the security coverage for the Trillion Peso March Movement, also known as the Indignation Prayer Rally, held at the People Power Monument, concluded peacefully.

Following the directive of Acting Chief PNP P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. and the guidance of National Capital Region Police Office Director P/Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, the QCPD, according to Silvio, implemented comprehensive security measures that resulted in zero major untoward incidents, demonstrating the effectiveness of its overall security preparations and on-ground management.

Sufficient QCPD personnel, he said, were deployed, supported by partner agencies including DPOS, led by Ret. P/Brig. Gen. Elmo San Diego, the AFP, BFP, BJMP, NAVAL, NCRCOM, Red Cross, and the QC-LGU, headed by Mayor Joy Belmonte through TTMD and the MMDA. The inter-agency coordination, Silvio added, ensured smooth crowd flow and uninterrupted security operations throughout the event.

Silvio expressed his gratitude to the Quezon City Local Government and partner agencies for their support and cooperation, which greatly contributed to the orderly conduct of the movement. He likewise thanked the organizers and participants for observing security protocols and exercising their rights responsibly. He also commended the men and women of QCPD for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and maximum tolerance in maintaining peace and order.

“The QCPD stands firm in its commitment to safeguard the community, uphold the law, and ensure that every public assembly in Quezon City remains safe, peaceful, and orderly,” Silvio emphasized.
