Women from the militant group SENTRO carrying brooms trooped to the Office of the Ombudsman on the eve of the International Day to End Violence Against Women to call for the immediate filing of cases against powerful officials implicated in corruption issues.
The group said the brooms symbolize wise women and serve as a call to “clean up” governance by acting swiftly on pending complaints.
