The Philippines suffered a 2-3 heartbreak against Morocco in the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup at the Philsports Arena on Monday.
Despite Inday Tolentin and Catherine Graversen scoring the country's first goals in the fourth and eighth minute, respectively, the Moroccans scored three before halftime.
Nadia Laftah (10th), Siiham Tadlaoui (14th) and Jasmine Demraoui (17th) scored for Morocco as they knocked the Philippines out of contention for one of the two qurterfinal slots in Group A.
Only the two best teams per group will move on to the knockout stages.
The Filipina5 will hope to end their campaign on a high note as it takes on Argentina on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the same venue.
