Queen of All Media Kris Aquino personally greeted embattled Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap during her 61st birthday celebration in Tarlac City on 03 November 2025.

Her son Bimby accompanied Aquino to personally show her support for Yap.

Yap expressed her gratitude to the actress, saying, “Maraming salamat sa ating kaibigan na si Ms. Kris Aquino. Dumaan siya sa Tarlac kasama si Bimby para magbigay ng suporta at pagmamahal sa ating mga Tarlaqueños.”

Kris Aquino and Susan Yap share a long-standing friendship and political alliance, rooted in the historical professional relationship between their families.

Yap, who currently serves as Tarlac City mayor and formerly as Tarlac governor, is the daughter of the late Tarlac 2nd District Representative Jose Yap Sr., an ally of Aquino’s father, the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. The families have maintained this alliance for decades.

Beyond politics, Aquino and Yap are personal friends, with the former actress often describing Tarlac as her home.
