UnionBank unveils SME tools at Brand Con 2025

UnionBank of the Philippines is strengthening its push to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through a partnership with Brand Con 2025, the country’s first convention focused on branding excellence and innovation for local entrepreneurs.

Set from 11 to 13 November 2025 at Newport Resorts World Manila, the event will gather SME owners, brand experts, and business leaders to discuss how strong branding and digital tools can drive competitiveness and sustainability in a rapidly evolving economy.

“Through UB Negosyante, we empower entrepreneurs with the tools, financial solutions, and programs they need to succeed,” said Albert C. Cuadrante, UnionBank’s chief marketing officer. “Our partnership with Brand Con reflects our shared mission of equipping SMEs with the resources and knowledge that power up their brands to thrive in a dynamic economy.”

Cuadrante added that the initiative supports UnionBank’s broader vision of “helping Filipinos live a life unlocked—where opportunities are accessible, growth is attainable, and success is within reach.”

A major highlight of the event will be the UB Negosyante Christmas Village, UnionBank’s first retail showcase featuring local merchants using QRPH-powered payment solutions for fast, secure, and cashless transactions. The exhibit aims to help SMEs maximize the holiday season while introducing shoppers to “NextGen” digital banking experiences.

“This marks the first time UnionBank is launching the UB Negosyante Christmas Village, and we’re truly honored they’ve chosen Brand Con as the venue,” said Bingo Soriano, founder and chairman of Brand Con. “What makes this even more exciting is that almost the entire village will exclusively feature Filipino small and medium enterprises.”

UnionBank will also present a suite of SME-focused financial products, including the UnionBank BizStarter Account with a P5,000 opening deposit, the UB Negosyante App for fund management and digital payments, and the Business Line offering up to P10 million in revolving credit for expansion.

“Our goal is to build an ecosystem where SMEs go beyond banking—equipping them with the knowledge, networks, and inspiration they need to grow,” Cuadrante said. “Through partnerships like Brand Con, UnionBank continues to power up Filipino entrepreneurs as they take their businesses to the next level.”
