Globe Telecom reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to teacher development and digital education during the National Teachers’ Month (NTM) celebration held from 5 September to 5 October 2025. Led by the Department of Education (DepEd), Metrobank Foundation Inc., and the National Teachers’ Month Coordinating Council (NTMCC), the annual observance honors Filipino educators’ vital contributions to nation-building and community growth.
This year’s celebration, themed “My Teacher, My Hero,” culminated in an event at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on 6 October, graced by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. Globe was cited at the 44th NTM Coordination Meeting for its continued support of the teaching community, with Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto receiving the recognition on behalf of the company.
“Teachers are among the most powerful agents of change in our society. Through their dedication and care, they mold the minds and values of the next generation,” Crisanto said. “Globe is proud to stand alongside the Department of Education and our partners in recognizing their impact, while providing the digital tools and connectivity that help them continue inspiring and empowering learners across the country.”
Through its “Together 4 Teachers” advocacy, Globe continues to promote digital literacy and inclusion among educators. Its Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP)—which has reached nearly 2 million students and over 115,000 teachers since 2016—provides educators with training modules on media literacy, responsible online behavior, and digital wellness. The company also supports safe online learning through MakeITSafe.ph, a resource hub for teachers and parents.
Globe’s active participation in the NTM movement, which now involves more than 68 organizations nationwide, reflects its broader push to bridge education and technology. By empowering teachers with connectivity, digital skills, and innovative tools, the company aims to strengthen the country’s education ecosystem and support the next generation of learners in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
