The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said it is in full force at all international airports nationwide as thousands of passengers are expected to take advantage of the Undas long weekend.
Despite 31 October being declared a special non-working holiday, BI said it is in anticipating a surge of travelers from Friday through next week.
“All immigration counters will be fully manned to ensure smooth processing of arriving and departing passengers,” BI said.
It added that additional personnel have been deployed and measures implemented to maintain smooth passenger movement despite expected volume.
“Our officers are working round-the-clock to accommodate the influx of passengers during the Undas break,” Immigration Commissioner Joel Viado said.
Minor queues may be expected due to holiday rush but processing will remain manageable.
Ongoing airport improvements may also affect movement in some terminals but coordination with airport authorities are in place for uninterrupted operations.
Travelers are advised to be at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled flights and to monitor airport conditions to help them plan ahead.
