PHirst Park Homes, Century Properties Group’s (CPG) first-home brand backed by the Antonio family, is pouring P8.39 billion into the construction of 13,150 new housing units nationwide to help ease the country’s housing backlog.
CPG said in a stock exchange report on Thursday that contracts for the planned developments have been awarded to PPHI’s in-house construction arm, PHirst Build, and longtime partner Megawide Construction Corp.
Of the total, PHirst Build will handle 6,326 units in Luzon, including the newly launched PHirst Park Homes Sto. Tomas and PHirst Park Homes Magalang East.
Megawide will deliver 5,824 precast housing units across five projects in Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas, while around 1,000 more units are in the contract awarding stage.
Providing affordable housing
“Our initiatives, through innovative construction methods and strategic partnerships with contractors and suppliers, represent a strong continuation of our mission to provide affordable housing solutions — making quality homes more accessible to Filipino families and helping elevate their communities,” said Engr. Roy C. Lachica, PPHI vice president for technical operations.
Since its founding in 2017, PPHI has awarded 29,306 units for construction. The upcoming projects will bring its total housing stock to 42,456 units.
PPHI expects to complete more than 15,000 units, with projections to reach about 18,000 by yearend. Over 10,000 units have already been turned over to buyers and are expected to exceed 14,000 by the end of the year.
PPHI’s total housing portfolio
Established in 2022, PHirst Build has since completed over 12,000 units, representing about 31 percent of PPHI’s total housing portfolio.
