The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has debunked a viral social media post claiming that the Rolls-Royce belonging to the controversial Discaya couple was recently spotted on the streets of Metro Manila.

In a statement, the BOC clarified that the luxury vehicle — along with other high-end cars confiscated from contractors Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya II and Cezarah Rowena “Sarah” Discaya — remains in its custody and has not been released or moved. The couple is currently under investigation for alleged anomalies involving government flood control projects.

“All seized vehicles are securely stored under the strict supervision of the Customs Police, safeguarded by physical barriers, security personnel, and inventory controls that prevent any unauthorized access, movement, or release,” the bureau said.

The agency also pointed out that the license plate number seen in the viral photo ends with 949, while the Discaya Rolls-Royce’s plate number ends with 889, disproving online claims.

“This clearly disproves the claim circulating online,” the BOC stressed.

The bureau reiterated that no seized property may be removed or handled without proper authority and complete documentation, warning that any unauthorized release or tampering with evidence constitutes a serious violation punishable under customs laws with corresponding administrative and criminal penalties.

The BOC also urged the public to rely only on official sources for verified information and avoid sharing misleading or fabricated content.

“False claims and malicious posts mislead the public and erode trust in government institutions,” it said.

For verified updates, the public is encouraged to visit the BOC’s official website at customs.gov.ph or follow its official social media pages.

The bureau also thanked concerned citizens for reporting such matters, emphasizing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and public trust in all its operations.

The clarification came after a viral social media post on Monday showed a photo of a luxury car, which netizens claimed was one of the vehicles seized from the Discaya couple, allegedly seen being driven in Metro Manila.
