MARIVELES, Bataan — The Philippine National Police (PNP) started recruiting new members to meet the 6,500 attrition quota for 2025.

In Region 3 alone, a total of 550 recruits will be selected, the highest in the region alongside the National Capital Region (NCR), which is also allocated 550 slots.

On 27 October 2025, the PNP, through the Mariveles Municipal Police Station, Bataan PPO, led by Provincial Director PCol. Marites A. Salvadora, together with PLTCOL Mar Joseph Ravelo, Chief of Police, and the AdHoc Committee headed by Municipal Mayor Ace Jelo Concepcion and Sangguniang Bayan members, conducted interviews for aspiring applicants under the PNP Recruitment Program for the Attrition Quota 2025 cycle.

Held at the Mariveles Municipal Hall, the activity assessed applicants’ qualifications, character, and readiness to serve, reflecting the PNP’s commitment to selecting competent, community-oriented individuals who uphold the organization’s core values of integrity, discipline, and public service.

For the calendar year 2025, a total of 5,639 quota slots are allocated to 17 Police Regional Offices (PROs), including National Support Units (NSUs) with 900 slots.

Specialized units covered by the quota include: Anti-Kidnapping Group (75), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (75), PNP Drug Enforcement Group (225), Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (95), Integrity Monitoring Enforcement Group (75), Communications and Electronics Service (85), Headquarters Support Service (200), and Special Action Force (70).

The PNP invited Filipino youth with “malasakit” and dedication to public service to join and serve the community. PNP Chief P/LtGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. emphasized that the recruitment process is free, and no one is authorized to collect fees or offer assistance in exchange for admission into the PNP.
