It is indisputable that beleaguered Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara had billions of pesos at his disposal — money allegedly accumulated through controversial dealings in government flood control projects that eventually led to his dismissal.
During a Senate hearing, it was revealed that Alcantara recorded P36.7 million in gross losses from casino gambling. His cohorts, dismissed engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza, reportedly lost P435 million and P418 million, respectively.
But Nosy Tarsee heard there’s more to these contractors than crooked engineering. Word has it that two of them are also involved in “kinky transactions,” this time entangling themselves with showbiz personalities.
“Brice Hernandez and company have a budget of P28 million every three months for female celebrities,” a source told Nosy Tarsee. “I suppose the projects handled by Alcantara and Bernardo had even larger budgets.”
The Bernardo in question is former DPWH Undersecretary Robert Reyes Bernardo, who previously admitted to his misdeeds, saying he had allowed himself to become “an instrument for evil to prevail.”
Those in the know claim the alleged beneficiaries of this “budget” are well-known, bankable stars — familiar faces in TV dramas who, according to the grapevine, also offer “escort services” to high-rolling clients.
Who these showbiz personalities are remains a matter of speculation. Your guess, dear reader, is as good as anybody else’s.
