Lottery affair

Winning the lottery fleshes out desires.
For a grandfather in Maryland, USA, it means home improvement and savings. The Essex resident played the state lottery Bonus Match 5 early this month. He bought a ticket at Mace Liquors on Mace Avenue in Baltimore County, choosing as numbers the ages of his grandchildren, UPI reported.
Lang won $50,000 from the lottery, according to UPI.
Meanwhile, Cheryl Bach of Holly Springs, North Carolina, tried her luck on a state lottery by buying a $10-Million Spectacular scratch-off ticket from a grocery store in Raleigh early this month.
Bach won one of 20 $1-million prizes and claimed it from the North Carolina Education Lottery on 10 October.
After taxes, Bach took home $430,514, telling lottery officials that she would spend the winnings to pay bills and, most importantly, realize a dream that she and her husband of 31 years never had the chance to fulfill when they were younger, according to People.
“I’m going to take a vacation with my husband that will finally be our honeymoon,” Bach told lottery officials, nclottery.com reported.
