War materiel found in Pantabangan

War materiel were found by authorities at Brgy. Cambitala, Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija on 18 October 2025.

According to the 2nd PMFC of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), their personnel along with the 1st FOB Platoon successfully recovered one piece rifle grenade; 22 pieces of caliber 7.62 linked live ammunition; two pieces of long magazines (plastic) for caliber 5.56; one piece of short magazine (steel) for caliber 5.56; one piece of 9V battery; one piece of blue stranded wire; and one piece of subversive material/book titled Batayang Kurso ng Partido – Aklat III during the conduct of a Major Internal Security Operation at the mountainous area of Brgy. Cambitala. 

The successful recovery was made possible through the revelation and continuous debriefing of alias “Ka Jerry,” a former member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) under the Josefino Corpuz Command, who had previously surrendered to this unit.

The said operation was conducted in collaboration with 1st PMFC-NEPPO, Pantabangan MPS, San Jose CPS, Lupao MPS, Cuyapo MPS, Rizal MPS, Llanera MPS, Sto. Domingo MPS, Licab MPS, Quezon MPS, PIU-NEPPO, NEPECU, NICA3, 303rd MC RMFB3, RIU3, IOS RID3, 84th IB 7ID PA, and 21SAC-2SAB (Support Units).Assistance from NEPECU was requested for the proper handling and disposal of the recovered explosive materials.
