Filipinas book U17 Asian Cup slot

The Philippines booked a slot in the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup after beating Malaysia, 4-0, in the qualifiers at the Republican City Stadium in Dushanbe on Friday.

Undefeated in three games, the Filipinas topped Group A for the lone slot for the Asian Cup which takes place in China from 30 April to 17 May.

Luna Rivara opened the scoring for the Philippines in the sixth minute with a right-foot volley before Chiara Mizzo launched a screamer in the 23rd minute.

Filipinas team captain Aiselyn Sia headed home a corner kick in the 59th minute to make it 3-0

Malaysia skipper Nur Dania Batrisya accidentally deflected Louraine Evangelista’s cross into the Philippines' net the 69th minute to make it 4-0.

The Philippines first defeated Syria, 5-0, last Monday before pulling off a 2-0 victory over host Tajikistan last Wednesday.
