President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed confidence that key sectors of Philippine society remain supportive of his administration’s advocacies and programs, even as he emphasized the need to continuously work hard to meet the people’s needs and aspirations.

In an interview with reporters at Malacañan Palace, President Marcos acknowledged the dynamic nature of politics but maintained that his administration still enjoys strong backing from critical institutions and influential sectors.

“Politics is a very variable, very volatile exercise. And so, what I can say is that we are confident that the important sectors of society, the power centers of society, and of the administration are very supportive still of the advocacies of the administration, the programs of the administration,” Marcos said.

He underscored that his administration remains focused on the national development agenda.

“We will continue to work very hard to make sure that we are doing what the people want. And that's the most important thing,” he stressed.

The President’s remarks come amid reported efforts by certain groups to urge the military to withdraw support from the administration, which he also downplayed.

“We are still very much on solid ground in terms of support from the different sectors of society,” Marcos said, assuring the public that the administration continues to engage in dialogue with all stakeholders.

The President acknowledged that maintaining broad support requires diligence and constant communication.

“We have to be very careful to keep everyone as part of the administration and in support of the administration,” he said.

Marcos emphasized the government’s openness to address concerns raised by groups or individuals with differing views.

“Whoever has any kind of grievance or complaints, and who might be thinking of saying that they no longer agree with the administration, we always go to them and ask: ‘What can we do to accommodate your advocacy?’” he explained.

“We want to know what they would like the national government to do. And so that’s what we are doing,” he added.

The Marcos Jr. administration, in its third year, has consistently cited unity, dialogue, and inclusive governance as cornerstones of its leadership approach. The President also reiterated his commitment to listen, respond, and act on the concerns of all sectors.
