Donny Pangilinan donates P300,000 to kariton vendors

Nearly moved to tears, Roja star Donny Pangilinan reached out to Vice Ganda and asked how he could extend help to the 20 kariton vendors who were contestants in It’s Showtime’s segment “Laro Laro Pick.” 

During taping break, Pangilinan watched the show’s episode and was deeply touched by the sob stories of the kariton vendors.

Pangilinan, in a phone conversation with Vice Ganda, asked the “Unkabogable Star” how he could extend help to the kariton vendors.

“Tumawag talaga siya sa akin,” Vice shared during the live show. “Sabi niya, ‘Vice, nadurog ako. Hindi ko kinaya yung episode. May chance ba na makita ko sila ulit? Hindi kaya ng kalooban ko kaya gusto ko magregalo.’” (He called me up.  He said, ‘Vice, I crumbled. I can’t cope up with the episode. Is there a chance we’re I can see them again? I really can’t cope up that’s why I need to give them gifts).

Pangilinan donate P15,000 to each of the 20 vendors, calling it an early Christmas gift intended to provide relief and encouragement in their daily lives.

Vice Ganda emphasized that Donny’s generosity extends beyond a one-time donation.

“Hindi lang ito ang pinangako ni Donny,” Vice said. “Hindi lang ito ang una’t huling pagtulong niya sa atin.” (It’s not only Donny’s promise. This is not the first and the last help Donny will extend).

In addition to Pangilinan’s donation, Vice Ganda also shared an update on one of the vendors, Nanay Rosie, who had previously been living under a bridge. Vice Ganda announced that she had already found a new home for Nanay Rosie — a testament to the continued outreach efforts of the show.

Meanwhile, Edlyn, a raketera, won the P100,000 jackpot after correctly answering the question: “How many zeroes are in P1 trillion?”

A December wedding for Carla Abellana?

Carla Abellana is scheduled to say “I do” in December. That what rumors say. With whom you may ask.  

Well, Abellana has been dropping hints that she’s enamored with a guy after posting photos of their dates. But she’s careful enough not to show his face, only his shoes.

While Abellana refused to reveal the identity of the guy she’s currently enamored with, social media is a buzz with absolute certainty about her boyfriend’s true identity.

In a Facebook reel, it said the Abellana’s boyfriend was her high school sweetheart at OB Montessori. He is Dr. Reginald Santos,  chief medical officer at Diliman Medical Center in Quezon City.

Abellana was previously married to Tom Rodriguez.  They got married in 2022 but got separated in only three months. Rodriguez has found a new inamorata with whom he has a baby boy.

Piolo Pascual is back

After an absence of eight years, Piolo Pascual is back with Star Cinema.

“Yes, it’s nice to be back. Your first love, your first family and of course, ABS-CBN and Star Cinema for that matter. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na uuwi ka sa pamilya na nagpalaki sa ‘yo, na nagbigay sa ‘yo ng break and at the same time ang sarap ng pakiramdam na nakabuo ka ng isang pamilya.  (It’s good to feel that you’re back to the family which raised you, gave you a break and at the same time it feels good to feel that you were able to develop a family),” Pascual said during the mediacon for the movie.
