PRC names 586 new food technologists; UST grad tops board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 586 out of 931 examinees passed the Food Technologists Licensure Examination held 14 and 15 August.

The results earned a total of 62.94 percent passing rate with Nathan Gordon Tiu Orencia from University of Santo Tomas (UST) snatching the top one seat with an 88 percent grade.

4. Aaron Jeremiah Abesamis Juson of UST, Ellaine Claire Corpuz Pahunang OF  University of Science & Technology of Southern Philippines (CDO) – 86.75 percent

5. Julianne Mae Margueritte Racho Albos and Mayjed Gonzaga Añasco – UP Los Baños; Guiller Dartin Llames Canapi and  Ma. Sarah Cruz Javier of UP Diliman – 86.50 percent

6. Vince Carl Calaylay Balbuena, John Lovell Engracia Fetalino, and Eliezer Pileo Valencia Jr of UP Los Baños; Mohammad Teo Mamoribid of UP Mindanao; Isabel Raya Reyes Santos of UP Diliman – 86.25 percent

Mesa; Nicole Anne Benito Serafico of UST, and Vanessa Castro Ventenilla of Bulacan State University-Malolos – 85.50 percent

Mely Mariz Sarona Amargo and Xelah Joy Sebalda Policher of UP Mindanao; Karen Joy Atitiw Cachola and Iole Ruth de Sagon Sanchez of UP Los Baños; Christine Jemimah Fabregar Fabon of Technological University of the Philippines-Manila; Amor Mia Vocal Fediles of Davao del Norte State College; Jamie Antonette Lomague Ignacio and Ma. Nhissa Garillo Zausa of PUP-Main-Sta. Mesa; and Collen Abbygail Lirio Nojor of UP Diliman – 85.25 percent

Meanwhile, UP Diliman was declared as the top performing school with a 100 percent passing rate. Followed by UP Mindanao with 97.56 percent, UP Visayas-Iloilo City with 92.50 percent, UP Los Baños with 91.11 percent, and UST with 87.10 percent.

Successful examinees may schedule online appointments to obtain their FoodTech professional identification card and certificate of registration starting 24 September.

PRC is yet to announce the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony for the new passers.
