NEW DELHI, India – It seems that not only the Office of the Vice President is looking for the second-highest official of the Philippines, but also the Office of the President.
In a press briefing with the Philippine media delegation on Wednesday, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro revealed that there is no record yet of Duterte’s travel authority with the Office of the Executive Secretary.
“At this time, we do not have any information. We have called the Office of the Executive Secretary based on our knowledge and the information provided. The latest travel authority granted to her is from July 5 to July 28,” she said.
During this period, the Vice President traveled to the Netherlands and South Korea.
Castro also said there are reports that Duterte aims to travel to Kuwait on 8 August.
“We have news to share and we were asked about it, saying that the Vice President has plans to go to Kuwait on August 8, but as we speak, the Vice President has not yet filed a request for travel authority for the said trip,” she said.
