Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) and Mapua University have forged a partnership through a memorandum of agreement (MoA) for the development of Power Systems 101 learning modules.
The new modules are designed for local government officials and regulators, community leaders, business partners and educators.
AboitizPower will use them in onsite learning sessions to enhance energy literacy and promote informed dialogues on power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Focusing on the technical, operational, and engineering components of the Philippine power system, the project builds on AboitizPower’s previous Power 101 series with the University of the Philippines Los Baños, which centered on the system’s economic and financial aspects.
“This initiative is a strategic step to reach out to our stakeholders by creating a platform for sharing knowledge and information, which is part of the Company’s continuous effort to foster shared understanding of the Philippine energy landscape,” said AboitizPower first vice president for External Relations Jason Magnaye.
