Why was Pia Wurtzbach at President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (SoNA) 2025?

Many asked such question after spotting Miss Universe 2015 at the SoNA in Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City last Monday, just as when this edition was been declared by solons as a non-red carpet event.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Pia explained that she was at the SoNA as both Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and LoveYourself ambassador.

“It’s a reminder of the work we’ve started and how far we’re still going. Grateful to be part of conversations that center progress, inclusion, and real community care,” she noted.

LoveYourself is a community of volunteers that provides free Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) testing, counseling, treatment and life coaching in the Philippines.
