The Philippines faces a tall order in the AFC Women’s Asia Cup next year after the groups were announced on Tuesday at the Sydney Town Hall in Sydney, Australia.

Facing the Filipinas in the group stages are the Australians, South Korea, and Iran as they try finish at least sixth place for a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The Asian Cup will take place from 1 to 21 March.

The Philippines finished in fourth place in the previous edition of the Asian Cup in 2022 in India.
