• July 10, 2024 — NEW ERA IN PROSECUTION: DOJ unveils preliminary investigation guidelines

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla led the ceremonial signing of the 2024 Department of Justice — National Prosecution Service (DOJ-NPS) Rules on Preliminary Investigations and Inquest Proceedings today.

• July 24, 2024 - DOJ pledges all out support in PBBM’s total ban of POGOs

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla said President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s total ban of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) reflects the current administration’s firm resolve to effectively and fairly administer justice.

• 11 November 2024 - DOJ issues its Rules on Summary Investigation and Expedited Preliminary Investigation

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Boying Remulla signed the Department of Justice-National Prosecution Service Rules on Summary Investigation and Expedited Preliminary Investigation.

• 11 March 2025 - Honoring the 8-decade alliance of PH-UN: Remulla reaffirms PH commitment to eradicate dangerous narcotics in a global stage

In an effort to advance the country’s fight against the menace of illegal drugs, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla led the Philippine delegation to the 68th Session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, Austria from March 10 to 14, where he openly declared the unyielding commitment of the Philippines with the UN to combat substance abuse and drug trafficking.

• 20 March 2025 - New era in PH border security: DOJ-BI collab with UN to launch revolutionary border control system

In pursuit of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) commitment of delivering real justice for all, the DOJ and the Bureau of Immigration in partnership with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) aimed at revolutionizing national border control through the utilization of the Advance Passenger Information (API) System.

• 5 May 2025 - DOJ Honored by the President for Leading Role in Philippines’ Exit from FATF Grey list.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) was honored during the Presidential and National Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing Coordinating Committee NACC Recognition Ceremony held on 5 May 2025 at Malacañang Palace, Manila, in recognition of its crucial role in the Philippines’ successful exit from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list.

• 10 July 2025 - DOJ leads site assessment at Taal Lake for Missing Sabungeros

On a mission to unveil the mystery of the “Missing Sabungeros” Case, the Department of Justice (DOJ) spearheaded the conduct of a technical site assessment in 2025 around the vicinity of Taal Lake as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to retrieve the bodies of the alleged victims.
