Even before the floodwaters fully receded, help was already on its way to hundreds of families in Cavite, thanks to a growing show of solidarity led by DigiPlus Interactive Corporation and its social arm, BingoPlus Foundation.

Responding swiftly after Cavite was placed under a State of Calamity, the Foundation rolled out relief operations on 26 July in coordination with Imus Councilor Mark Villanueva and barangay officials. Food relief packs were distributed to families in Barangays Poblacion 4A, Poblacion 4B, Malagasang 2B, and Anabu F. A total of 455 families were served, combining efforts from the Foundation and the local government.

This immediate response is part of a larger P5 million relief commitment that DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation pledged earlier this week in the wake of Typhoon Crising. With widespread flooding affecting several regions, the company’s brands: BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, have pooled their success into actionable aid.

Beyond this, BingoPlus Foundation has also maintained its P2 million relief partnership with ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya, donating 1,000 food packs worth P450,000 to families in Kawit, Cavite. This long-term collaboration, which started in 2024, is intended to continue through 2025 as part of the Foundation’s broader mission to sustain help where it is needed most.

“In moments like these, what families need most is the reassurance that help is on the way,” said Angela Camins-Wieneke, Executive Director of BingoPlus Foundation. “At BingoPlus Foundation, we do our very best to act fast, to help put food on tables, lighten the burden, and remind them that they are not facing this alone.”

More help is expected in the coming week, as the Foundation prepares to deliver 100 cabans of rice to the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s National Resource Operations Center in Pasay City. This donation alone is estimated to support more than 800 families. Over 50 DigiPlus employee volunteers are also expected to assist in repacking efforts, making it one of the organization’s biggest community mobilizations yet.

Relief activities are also being organized across other storm-hit areas in Metro Manila, CALABARZON and North Luzon.

“We know that rebuilding doesn’t happen overnight,” Camins-Wieneke added. “That’s why we’re staying the course, not just responding to emergencies, but standing by communities as they rise again, stronger.”

DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation remain focused on building long-term impact, not only showing up during disasters, but staying present in the difficult road to recovery. Their ongoing message is clear: when the need arises, help won’t be far behind.
