The construction worker who survived a landslide along the boundary of Barangay Iruhin West in Tagaytay and Barangay Cabangaan in Silang, Cavite, records rescuers as they retrieve the body of his co-worker during a search-and-rescue operation on Friday, 25 July 2025.
The landslide occurred around 10 a.m. on Thursday, 24 July, after days of nonstop rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat, and successive typhoons, crushing the construction workers’ barracks. Authorities are still working to recover one more missing worker.
